You’re better off without him
and
he don’t know what he’s lost-
that’s what they say
but the truth of it is
the gift he has given
my open arms
the doors he has peaked through
into my heart
it’s better this way
to live, to love and lose, to
gain a new soul, born
from the ashes, I’m
never alone
that’s what he’s given me

and the truth of it is
I want
I love
I need
him
to know
that I don’t regret us
never can I hate him...

thank you for loving me

this isn't written as a "i want him back" or "i'm not moving on" type of poem. i can't force myself not to care for someone (hate only comes when you cross a very defined line), so that will always be there. but... i'm learning not to be a victim to the pain, if that makes any sense.

and i am thankful, for every part of it.

i can definitely relate to this at my current place in life. it is hard to make people understand that although it is over you arent angry or hateful. i am impressed by it. good stuff

all the ways you wish you could be,
that's me.
i look like you wanna look,
i fuck like you wanna fuck,
i am smart, capable,
and most importantly,
i am free in all the ways that you are not.

Definately one of those poems about recognizing the power of love even when it hurts. Beautiful!
